Camp Staff

Fr. Alban West, Camp Director

Fr. Alban has served St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Portland, OR since 1997 and has been involved with Camp St Mary of Egypt since 2011, becoming Camp Clergy Director in 2013. He oversees all decisions regarding camp through the year of planning and then directly oversees the educational sessions and liturgical life during the week of camp. His favorite part of camp is hearing all of the campers chant during the daily services.

Kh. Krista West, Executive Director

Kh. Krista has served CSME since 2010 when she came on as Arts and Crafts coordinator. In 2012 she became Asst Director and then in 2013 Executive Director. She oversees all organization and planning aspects of camp as well as the smooth running of the program during the week of camp. Her favorite part of camp is being "Mom" to 120 kids for the week and seeing the campers grow from year to year.

Jill Machado, Asst Director

Jill joined the CSME team in 2013 as Registrar and was promoted in 2015 to Asst Director since her duties extend far beyond registration as she oversees all form-keeping and information distribution throughout the year, including managing our new online CampDocs forms. She attends St. Innocent Orthodox Church in Everson, WA. Her favorite part of camp is the Candlelight Ceremony Friday night.

Joy Ann Wise, Staff Registrar

JoyAnn is a highly valued "behind the scenes" member of the CSME team as she coordinates and organizes all staff applications and registrations and runs our background checks. She attends St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Arlington, WA. Her favorite part of camp is keeping us organized and safe!

Dave Mathieson, Activities Director

Dave joined the CSME team in 2013 as Activities Director and he's kept us hopping ever since with his exciting games, enthusiastic spirit, and his emphasis on good sportsmanship. He attends St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Arlington, WA. His favorite part of camp is getting such a renewed sense of faith after spending one short week of fellowship with the youth, all of the clergy, and older peers. It is amazing to him to see some of these young children and how serious they are about their faith and he finds it highly encouraging. He is truly grateful to be able to serve CSME!

Mary Robinson, Administrative Assistant to the Directors

Mary is the newest member to the CSME team and is coming on board in 2016 to help facilitate speedy communication between Fr. Alban, Kh. Krista, campers and their parents. She attends St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Arlington, WA and has been a counselor at CSME for the last three years. Her favorite part of camp is the unconditional love that flows throughout the campers, counselors, and staff as they encourage one another to be the people Christ calls us to be. And, she likes the water games!
